Challenge:
The publisher/editor-in-chief of Dovely Magazine asked us to design a publication that would highlight achievements of members (all women) and give advice to members of the larger Greek community. "I want the style of the magazine to be sophisticated and chic," the editor told us.
Solution:

We started by creating the logo, which delivers femininity, modernity, and a sense of motion. We set up the framework of the publication, but we ran into a problem during layout: The photography supplied by the client for use on the cover was not of high quality and didn’t fit in with the client’s desired look of the magazine. Problem solved: We directed a photo shoot with the subject of the cover and feature layout.

In designing both the logo and the publication, we mainly used shades of blue, as it’s a color with sentimental value to the intended readership. The magazine had 2,600 unique visitors less than a month after its debut.
