Challenge:
The National City Mortgage quarterly newsletter was in dire need of an updated look. We needed to modernize the look while adhering to the company's brand identity guidelines. National City Mortgage also publishes an annual special edition newsletter to acknowledge its top loan officers. The special issue needed to reflect the destination of the awards trip and fit copious amount of photographs and text.
Solution:

We started by creating an identity for the regular-edition newsletter. We created a logo for the newsletter that combines a modern typeface with National City's proprietary typeface. We also trimmed down the amount of content and number of colors of the front page.

With the special edition, we kept the beach theme constant throughout, with the cover containing no content, just a "Treasure Island" vibe.

National City Mortgage now had publications that were eye-catching and begged to be opened.
